The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Ahmed Maalim Faqi Ahmed, received today, Thursday, in his office at the Ministry in the capital, Mogadishu, a copy of the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Boumediene Mahi, the new Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Federal Republic of Somalia, and extended to him his best wishes for success in his new role and in the effective implementation of his duties to strengthen the long-standing historical relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in areas of common interest.
During the reception, the close relations between Somalia and Algeria were emphasized, as well as the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation in many key areas such as security, economic development and education, as well as working together to address regional challenges and enhance joint coordination in international forums.
