It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the new website of the Embassy of Algeria in Nairobi. I am extending my warmest welcoming expression as I just took office as Ambassador of Algeria to the Republic of Kenya.

Allow me, firstly, to express the honor that I feel to represent Algeria in such a strategic and beautiful country with which Algeria has a very strong diplomatic and political ties that are marked by mutual solidarity and common values of Pan-Africanism and our African continent’s emancipation, whose roots are dating back to the struggle of the Algerian and Kenyan people for their independence and against any colonial presence on the African soil.

That historical and diplomatic aspect brings together the two sisterly countries and elevate Kenya to the rank of key partners of Algeria in Africa, while nourishing a bilateral dynamic of coordination and permanent interactions aiming at consolidating and diversifying their sectorial cooperation as well as putting in place an effective African integration.

This information-space is dedicated to keeping you well-informed about what is happening in Algeria and about the various activities of the Embassy of Algeria in Nairobi.

To my compatriots living in Kenya, Somalia and South Soudan, this space has been especially conceived to give you a general overview of the consular services provided by the Embassy with the purpose of addressing all concerns that you might be facing. Our efforts stem from the orientation of our highest national authorities.

To my Kenyan sisters and brothers, I hope that this space will be very helpful for you in getting you more familiar with the diversity and the potential of Algeria economically, culturally and in tourism area. It has been incorporated in this website an economic column to allow the Kenyan economic operators to be more familiar with the business potentialities of the Algerian Market and the partnership opportunities that could be established with their Algerian counterparts.  

Naturally, the Embassy is at your disposal for any request of information, assistance and orientation on the matters of conducting business in Algeria or even establishing contacts and business partnership with the Algerian public and private economic operators.  

Even more a particular interest has been given to highlight the diversified cultural richness and tourism potential of Algeria in order to promote them within the Kenyan public, who has a great sense of tourism due to the anchoring of the tourism culture in the Kenyan society.

You need only to consult the sections devoted to that aspect to discover the wonderful tourist sites of Algeria that are spreading through the national territory. Each of these sites is the witness of the anchored history of Algeria and its ancestral cultural richness. They are also the symbol of the welcoming and solidary spirit of the People of Algeria who showed it through its history and at the required time.

I invite all of you to be more interested in this historical heritage of Algeria hoping that you will have personally an opportunity to visit all of these historical and cultural sites.

I am fully committed to further promote this cultural and historical heritage within the Kenyan society through the implementation of various academic and cultural institutional exchange programs.
