President Ruto Bids Farewell to Algerian Ambassador H.E. Boumediene Mahi, Celebrates Strengthened Bilateral Ties
President William Ruto has officially bid farewell to H.E. Boumediene Mahi, the outgoing Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Kenya, as he concludes his diplomatic tour of duty.
In a warm and cordial meeting at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto expressed Kenya’s deep appreciation for Ambassador Mahi’s exemplary service and the significant role he has played in fostering strong and strategic bilateral relations between Kenya and Algeria.
President Ruto acknowledged the long-standing historic, diplomatic, and trade ties that bind Kenya and Algeria, emphasizing that these relations have yielded mutual benefits for the people of both nations. He noted that the two countries continue to collaborate across various platforms, including the United Nations and the African Union, to champion shared priorities such as agriculture, peace, regional stability, and multilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the President thanked Ambassador Mahi for his sterling contributions in deepening the partnership between the two countries, particularly in key areas of mutual interest. He also commended the ambassador's commitment to enhancing Pan-African solidarity and furthering common development goals on the continent.
As Ambassador Mahi prepares to depart, President Ruto extended his best wishes to him, his government, and the people of Algeria in their future endeavours. He reaffirmed Kenya’s readiness to continue building on the strong foundation laid during the ambassador’s tenure.
