Mr Attaf arrives in Cairo
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Cairo on Friday to take part in the ministerial meeting of the tripartite mechanism of neighbouring countries concerning the crisis in Libya, scheduled for Saturday.
This meeting aims to relaunch this tripartite consultative mechanism, which has not met since 2019.
Tomorrow's meeting will be an opportunity to exchange views on the means and prospects for unifying the efforts of Libya's three neighbouring countries, with a view to helping to put an end to the division between the Libyan brothers and to achieving a definitive settlement of the Libyan crisis, while respecting the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Libya, preserving the unity of its people and its territorial integrity, and promoting peace, security and stability in the region.
