Algerian Embassy in Nairobi Joins IATF 2025 Roadshow Activities

Speaking During the opening ceremony of the Intra Africa Trade Fair 2025 Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry Lee Kinyanjui said Kenya is very much in support of the acceleration of Trade among Africa Countries. “Kenya is committed to IATF2025 in Algiers in September and will participate fully as a government and Kenya’s private sector with emphasis on the youth and women led Small Medium Enterprises,” said Lee Kinyanjui.
Dr.Gainmore Zanamwe, Director of Trade Facilitation and Investment Promotion at AfreximBank gave a detailed presentation of what will be expected at the Fair in Algiers highlighting the pivotal role Afreximbank is playing in accelerating intra Africa trade. Dr. Gainmore challenged business people, investors and startups to have correct information such as accurate market information, digital tools and stronger intra African connectivity.
Representing the Government of Algeria and the Ambassador of Algeria to Kenya Kahina Tounsi the First Secretary said Africa countries must strengthen cooperation, unlock their collective potential and build stronger intra African trade ties.
“IATF2025 brings toghther Heads of States,Ministers,SMEs,and Business leaders to engage meaningfully across all sectors of the economy” Said Kahina.
The First Secretary informed the meeting that the Government of Algeria had mobilized all necessary infrastructure, logistics and human resources with setting up of a high level intersectoral committee which will maintain the highest international standards in organizing the Trade Fair.
“We reiterate our commitment to supporting all Kenyans with a smooth visa and customs clearance in time” Said First Secretary, “adding that all Africa people were welcomed to Algeria the Gulf of Africa”.
